Our storage shelving system is a bit more complex than our standard wire shelving units and accessories. So we’ve dedicated this news to answer the most frequently asked questions as well as give you some pointers on this unique storage system. Question: Can I pick different size commercial storage shelving units?

A: All commercial storage shelving units must be the same height and width. However, you can mix and match shelf depths. Just remember the height of the units and the shelf widths must be the same. (Typically most clients purchase the same size units but if you would like you can customize).

Question: Can I use a different height storage shelving system?

A: Yes you can use a different height but you will need to call us so we can work out pricing and configuration. We can even customize the height for you.

Storage Rack Design Questions

1.The type and variety of goods to be received, stored, picked, packed, and shipped from the facility.

2.The desired type of industrial steel storage rack to be used, including selective, cantilever, flow, pushback, drive-in, drive-thru, dual-bay, work platforms and any other related systems.

3.Type (or types) of material handling equipment that will interface with the rack system.

4.Information about the products to be stored, including sizes, dimensions, and weights.

5.Details about the unit loads (pallet loads) to be received, stored, and handled, including sizes, dimensions, weights, uniformity or asymmetry.

6.The type of load handling medium to be used: pallets, slip sheets, skids, or other.

7.The plan for the operational layout of the building.

8.Requirements for circulation and egress in normal and emergency situations.

9.Requirements for sprinkler systems, lighting, and heating and cooling.

10.Including all of these details in the scope of the rack project ensures that the final storage rack system is designed for both safety and function.
